SoleCall With each passing day designers are coming up with great eco-gadgets and while all of them might not be commer- cial hits or even nothing beyond a little blueprint for a bigger and better gadget down the line, they all show growing interest in green-design. The solar- powerwd mobile called 'SoleCall' is something that is very similar in nature and yet looks more like a bundle of contradicions. Designed bu Julia Schlegel, SoleCall sports a very cool look with what is more akin to a minimalist design. The mobile features a solar panel on the back while the front just sports the 10 digits that you need to dial and one giant on-off button. The design os supposedly for the 'poor of the third world' according to Julia, which we think is an honest mistake in choice of words and not as harsh as it sounds. In fact, even those loaded with cash could use this phone. Just think about it - a simple phone with no camera, no mp3 player, no gadgetry and even no facility to SMS. I for one would love to have it and do away with the obligation of typing back SMS messages.
